PAL/JAP SOLUTION -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've modded two GC with viper modchip and flashed them with Cobra Bios. The first was JAP (ver26) and the second PAL (ver 16). Now after some test i hope to help someone to solve some little problem in using it. After Installation: GC JAP ORIGINAL JAP by pressing " y " on the PAD when the GC start. ORIGINAL PAL and USA by pressing " X " on the PAD when the GC start. Trying the Backups i can see that i could only try with only 3 kind of dvd. Maxell DVD-R MINI SONY HANDICAM DVD-R MINI Verbatim DVD-R 4x FULL SIZE Sony Mini and Verbatim Desn't work...always black screen or a red error prompt. So, only Maxell DVD-R Works for me in my case. I tried Pacman Vs USA and Zelda four Sword USA. I ve burnt them at 2x on Maxell Minidvd. Pacman was an *.iso file (i burnt it with nero at 2x) and Zelda was a *gcm file (i renamed it in a *iso file and then i burnt it with nero too) They works perfectly also in saves using the normal procedure: 1) Put an original game (DOESN'T METTER the region of the game, but put an ORIGINAL ONE...i tried whit a PAL - USA - JAP and always works....tested also on PAL console) 2) Leave the lid of the GC opened whit the original game inserted and push power..the cobra bios will start. 3) DON'T push any button but wait till the screen "NOW SWAP THE DISC" appear. 4) Swap the ORIGINAL disk with your favorite backup (hoping that your media is compatible) and close the lid. 5) Now the GC will start with his regular bios booting the game. With the GC PAL i found only a difference. After installation i see that i can boot only original PAL by pressing Y and Import games JAP and USA pressing X at the start of the Cube. But my Backups doesn't works...neither the maxell minidvd that worked before. After Swapping the ORIGINAL disk with my backup i could only see black screen for some seconds..and after the same screen with a red error prompt that appears in another thread. So i decided to change tha laser of the gc pal whit the laser of the GC JAP to test if it was the GC- the instalaltion or the Laser that was incompatible.. After changing all i always had the same error..so it wasn't the laser. SOLUTION: After some test i saw that the solution was one...very simple and stupid but works: After swapping the Original disk with the Backup DON'T CLOSE THE LID...BUT WAIT !! .. if your media is compatible, the game will boot perfectly, and after booting i can close the lid and it will be all ok.. It's only a little bug of the cobra bios.. sure that will be solved very soon. Now works all ok.

Tous a fait d accords, de + il est bien + rapide a booter la 2eme sequence la ou un je sais pas quoi, traversse en haut de l ecran. L essayer c est l adopter couplé a une FA311 c est l ideal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Juste une petite rectification , la Fa311 ne sera pas reconnu sur un XP qui na pas de maj sp1 minimum.

Dans Evotool il me semble que ta une verssion pour modifié les bios classique et une autre verssion pour les Bios BFM (boot from media)

Un nouveau groupe , le Cube Mental, a développé un BIOS taillé pour la Vipère GC, appelé le Cobra BIOS. le BIOS cracké permettra de jouer(lire) des sauvegardes de Mini DVD-r, juste en permutant avec un disque original après le BIOS de Cobra sur l'invite d'écran! Pour ma part je pense , que l ideal c est d avoir la FA311 en sachant deja que les devellopeurs de starcube l utilise , Tu est sur de ce fait que leur loader la gere a 100%.

Je l 'ais laissé tel quel , comme a l origine . Pour ma part metroid 2 a les memes désagrements que toi. A mon avis, avec la prochaine maj du loader de starcube , on devrais arriver a la perfection , on en est pas loin avec la FA 311.

Hello a tous !!!!!!!!!!!!! Voila j avais avant une REALTECK 8139 que j utilisais avec s3-gcsimrepack ca fonctionnais pas trop mal sans + , le son tremblais ou grésillais etc... De + j avais des ecrans noir toujours au meme endroit impossible de continuer a jouer de + elle ne fonctionnait qu en 10 mbit. Du coup , j ai acheté une FA311 de netgear recommandé par starcube dans leur NFO . Et la miracle !!!!!!!, le GCM ou iso fonctionne comme un jeux original , son fluide (le son + ou - net depend des jeux) transfert des donnees ultra rapide et aucun ecran noir C est Hallucinant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! le tous passe en 100 mbits full duplex, a chaque lancement, pas de message "initialisation error" ou autres, apres de multiple tentatives ca passe toujours a 100 mbits full duplex. et croyé moi, tous ceci ,ca fait toute la difference !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Configuré la, de cette maniere ,obligatoirement : dans l onglet Avancé /media reseaux/ mettre sur "Détection AUTOMATIQUE" dans nombre de tampons de detections mettre la valeur a 128 ( cest le max) Voila c est tous ce qu il y a faire pour en arriver au resultat que je cite + haut. Les drivers que j utilise sont ceux de XP (natif), obligatoirement installé la MAJ SP2 sinon la carte ne sera pas détecté par XP . Voila la FA 311 l essayer c est l adopté , une bombe je vous dit. Ps: mon premier test : MARIO sunchine en PAL mon 2eme test: La demo US de resident evil 4 (un bombe en puissance ce jeu !!!!!)passe a merveille , juste un petit bruit sonore de temp a autre a par ca ,il est hyper fluide et flippant a souhait , on retrouve l esscence du premier sortis , il y a de ca quelques annees déja(Houla, ca me rajeunis pas tous ca !!!!!!) mon 3eme test:Mario Party 6 (us) : Passe a merveille , juste un petit bruit sonore de temp a autre,sinon tres fluide (avec phoenix 2.50). mon 4eme test:Bomberman generation, passe a la perfection. mon 5eme test:Viewtiful JOE , passe a la perfections mon 6eme test:SW Rogue Leader,phase de jeux parfaite

J aimerais bien connaitre les parametres que tu a mis avec ta FA 311 et la verssion des drivers que ta installé , je les aussi et impossible pour moi de lancer un iso via un loader(GC-sim Repack etc...) ,elle me deconnecte systematiquement au chargement du dit loader.
