Taking the menu icons to the Memory stick.

Before do this you must make sure that you have not applied any VKP patches that will take

your menu to the memory stick.

Its because in this method to be work the menu should be in its default place (ie

fs\tpa\preset\system\menu )

1. Here are the steps you have to follow.

Plug the phone to the computer and create folders in the memory stick as follows.

MSSEMC\Media files\other\menu\menu

This \menu\menu… folder will be your new menu icons folder once the process is

complete

Note This.

When you selecting a menu icons set for your MS make sure it meet the following conditions.

· Only Gif or Png icons can be used

· The Icons should be named as icon1_selected.gif , icon2_selected.gif ,

icon1_selected.png , icon1_unselected.png , icon12_unselected.png……. etc.

If not rename the images and edit the menu.ml file before using it.

Suppose if you found a new menu icon set that is not named like this and you don’t know

how to edit the menu.ml file

Don’t worry,

1. Rename the image files as mentioned names in the end of this

document.

2. Go to the Menu.ml Drafts Files folder in my shortcut package and ..

· If it’s a grid menu like this use the Grid Style

PNG folders menu.ml with your renamed 24 numbers of icons

· If it’s a full page style menu (Doc Menu ) use

the Grid Style PNG folders menu.ml with your renamed 12 icons.

2. Using the Far manager go to your default system folder and copy the following

shortcuts to the fs\tpa\preset\system\menu

For Gif files-12 links

icon1_selected.gif.@ , icon2_selected.gif.@ ,………… and icon12_selected.gif.@

For Png files- 24 links

icon1_selected.png.@ , icon2_selected.png.@ ,………… and icon12_selected.png.@

And the Menu.ml -1 Link

menu.ml.@

Do not create subfolders just copy all 37 files to fs\tpa\preset\system\menu

Ok that is the last time you need to use the far manager to change your menu icons

Now select any icon images set along with the menu.ml file and copy it to your memory

sticks created folder - MSSEMC\Media files\other\menu\menu

(ie if it’s a grid menu you have to copy 24 images and the menu.ml to the MS.)

Restart your phone. That’s it.

Here you have 2 advantages over applying a VKP patch

1. If you want to go back to original way just delete all the shortcut links in the

tpa\preset\system\menu and copy the original menu.ml file.

2. Simple and no bugs, errors because of the modification.

But only use specific icon sets is a bit of a hassle.

Layout.xml

Same way you can put your layout.xml to the same Memory stick folder use the layout.xml.@

and copy it to fs\tpa\system\layout and put the layout.xml to the MSSEMC\Media

files\other\menu\menu

Salut :

Le début :

Avant de faire ceci assurez-vous de ne pas avoir appliqué de patch VKP pour envoyer votre menu sur le memory stick.

C'est parce que pour que cette méthode marche, le menu doit être à sa place par défaut.(ie

fs\tpa\preset\system\menu )

1. Reliez le téléphone à l'ordinateur et créez les répertoires suivants sur le memory stick :

MSSEMC\Media files\other\menu\menu

Ce sera votre nouveau répertoire des icônes de menu une fois la méthode terminée.

Notez ceci :

Quand vous choisissez un set d'icônes de menu soyez sûr qu'il remplit les conditions suivantes :

- images en gif ou png

- les icones doivent être nommées icon1_selected.gif , icon2_selected.gif ,

icon1_selected.png , icon1_unselected.png , icon12_unselected.png……. etc.

La suite :

Si les icônes ne sont pas renommées, vous devrez éditer le fichier "menu.ml".

Supposons que vous avez trouvé un nouveau set d'icônes de menu qui ne sont pas nommées comme ça et que vous ne savez pas éditer "menu.ml".

Pas d'inquiétude :

1. Renommez les images comme c'est dit à la fin du document.

2. Allez dans le répertoire "Menu.ml Drafts Files" de mon pack et :

- si c'est un "grid menu" utilisez le menu.ml du répertoire "grid style PNG" avec vos 24 icônes renommées.

- si c'est un menu style pleine page (menu Doc), utilisez le menu.ml du répertoire "grid style PNG" avec vos 12 icônes renommées.

3. Utilisez le "Far manager" pour aller sur le dossier système par défaut et copiez les raccourcis suivants sur fs\tpa\preset\system\menu :

Pour les fichiers Gif-12 liens

icon1_selected.gif.@ , icon2_selected.gif.@ ,………… and icon12_selected.gif.@

Pour les fichiers PNG - 24 liens

icon1_selected.png.@ , icon2_selected.png.@ ,………… and icon12_selected.png.@

Et le Menu.ml -1 Lien

menu.ml.@

Ne créez pas de sous-répertoires, copiez juste les 37 fichiers.

C'est la dernière fois que vous utiliserez "Far manager" pour changer vos icônes de menu.

La fin :

Maintenant choisissez n'importe quel set d'icônes avec le menu.ml et copiez-les dans le répertoire créé sur le memory stick (MSSEMC\Media files\other\menu\menu).

Redémarrez votre téléphone, c'est fini.

2 avantages sur le patch VKP :

1. C'est très simpel de revenir sur le style original, il suffit de supprimer les raccourcis dans "tpa\preset\system\menu" et de remettre le menu.ml d'origine.

2. Simple et pas de bugs.

Bon, le tuto se finit là, ensuite je ne suis pas certain du sens de ce qui est dit ; je crois qu'ils préconisent d'utiliser des stes d'icônes spécifiques, sinon c'est complqiué.

There are many persons who would like to transform their K610/K618/V630 phones into W660. Here is a full tutorial.

You must know

1. The radio won't work; it's a technical problem;

2. The Walkman won't work; you must use some tricks;

3. If you try to listen audio files from the File Manager, your phone will crash; you must use some tricks;

4. The flash menus will work.

Prepare for the whole process

1. Make backup to your Contacts: Contacts->Options->Advanced->Back up to M.S. (this process will save your contacts to the memory stick);

2. Turn off your phone;

3. Remove the SIM and the memory cards;

4. Leave your phone closed..

Upgrade to CID52

1. Download and install Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) from here: http://www.sonyericsson.com/downloads/U ... .6.8-1.exe ;

2. Open SEUS and follow the instructions;

3. Few steps: English->Start->I Agree->First image->Continue->Choose your phone type->Continue->Follow the steps showed by SEUS.

The Flash Process

1. Download setool 2 lite from here: http://www.savefile.com/files/1019215 ;

2. Download the archive (wich contains FS, MAIN and CUSTOMIZATIOn) from here: http://www.esnips.com/doc/5318d4aa-0de4 ... TOMIZATION ;

3. Create a folder on the desktop and in it create 4 other folders; rename the folder "Total", one subfolder "setool2lite", another "fisiere", the third "FAR" and the last one "fisiere2" (we will use "FAR" and "fisiere2" later);

4. In the folder named "setool2lite" unrar setool 2 lite downloaded at step #1; in the folder named "fisiere" unrar the archive downloaded at step #2;

5. Open setool 2 lite from the file called "setool2lt.exe";

6. At Phone Type choose "K610/K618/V630";

7. Press "Add" and choose the file called "W660_R7AA017_FS_T_MOB_INT_A_RED52.fbn" from the folder "Total\fisiere\";

8. Repeat step #9, but this time choose "W660_R7AA017_MAIN_TMOBILE_FY_RED52.mbn" file from the folder "Total\fisiere\";

9. Press "..." and choose the file called "HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_4_R8A_GENERIC_MEDITERR.zip" from the folder called "Total\fisiere\";

10. Everything should appear like in the picture; If so, press "FLASH";

11. Hold down the "C" key from the phone pressed and connect the phone to the USB cable;

12. The program will start to write the firmware. It will take up ~420 seconds;

13. When "Phone detached." will appear, remove the USB cable from the phone and close setool 2 lite;

14. Remove the battery, insert the SIM card and then the battery; insert the memory stick;

15. Turn on your phone; be carefull! There are some notes to add:

15a. The display-ul Will look strange (it's like you add a negative filter to a picture); everything will be just fine;

15b. Until the desktop will appear, the phone must self-configure; wait until you reach the desktop;

16. Turn off your phone.

Repair the errors

1. Download FAR Manager+SEFP from here: http://filebeam.com/112650aacba054562a57af3d9d23e0f2 ;

2. Download this archive: http://www.esnips.com/doc/b3b68518-98f5 ... 5/fisiere2 ;

3. Extract FAR Manager+SEFP (from step #1) in the folder called "Total\FAR\";

4. Extract the archive downloaded at step #2 in the folder called "Total\fisiere2\";

5. Open "FAR.exe" from "Total\FAR\";

6. Press Alt+F1 and then press SEFP;

7. Be carefull that everything it's like in the image and then press "Enter the Matrix";

8. Hold down the "C" key pressed and connect the phone to the USB cable;

9. Press FS, not FLASH! It's very important;

10. Navigate using the keyboard: press on ifs->settings->display;

11. Press "..." from the right part of the screen; navigate using the keyboard: ...->fisiere2; go over "dispdriver0.dat" file, press F5 and then copy;

12. Press "..." from the left part of the screen; navigate using the keyboard: ...->camera;

13. Press "..." from the right part of the screen; navigate using the keyboard; go over "camdriver0.dat" file, press F5 and then copy; go over "camdriver1.dat" file, press F5 and then copy;

14. Press "..." from the left part of the screen; navigate using the keyboard: ...->...->tpa->preset->system->lighteffect->systemeffects;

15. Press "..." from the right part of the screen; navigate using the keyboard; go over "power_up_musicmode.ble" file, press F5 and then copy;

16. Close FAR;

17. Remove the phone's battery for 5 seconds and then insert it back;

18. Turn on the phone. If the display it's OK, that means that the whole operation it's OK.

il y a beaucoup de personne qui veulent savoir comment tranformer leur K610/K618/V630 téléphone en W660.Voici le tutorial

Vous devez savoir:

3.Crée un dossier sur votre bureau avec le nom ''Total'' et a l'intérieur de ce dossier crée 4 autre dossier qui aurons pour nom

4.Dans le dossier nommé "setool2lite" extraire l'archive télécharger au point 1 et dans le dossier nommé "fisiere" extraire l'archive télécharger au point 2

5.Ouvrir le logiciel setool 2 lite avec le fichier exécutable appeller : setool2lt.exe

6.Comme type de téléphone choisisez "K610/K618/V630''

-VOIRE LES IMAGES-

7.Appuyer sur ''add'' et choisisez le fichier appeller ''W660_R7AA017_FS_T_MOB_INT_A_RED52.fbn" qui ce trouve dans le dossier ''Total/fisiere/....''

8.Répéter l'étape 7 mais cette fois choisisez le fichier appeller ''W660_R7AA017_MAIN_TMOBILE_FY_RED52.mbn" qui ce trouve dans le dossier ''Total/fisiere/..... (note traducteur: Dans le tuto original c'est érit de répété l'étape 9 et non la 7 mais c'est surement une erreur car la 9 est completement différent)

9. Appuyer sur ''...'' et choisisez le fichier appeller ''HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_4_R8A_GENERIC_MEDITERR.zip" qui ce trouve dans le dossier ''Total/fisiere/..

10, Tout deverais apparaitre comme sur la photo si c'est le cas appuyer sur ''FLASH''

Voir Image 5 et 6 mais aucune étape n'est mantionner pour celle-ci

11, Tennez enfoncer la touche ''C'' sur le téléphonne et connecter le téléphone a son cable USB

12. Le programme deverais commancer a écrire sur le Frimware, Ce qui prend environ 420 seconde

13.Quand le message ''Phone Detached'' vas apparaitre, enlever le cable USB du téléphone et fermer setool 2 lite

14.Enlever la batterie, inserer la carte SIM et apres remettez la batterie et inséré la carte mémoire

15.Allumer votre téléphone ; Soyez attentif il y a quelque note a ajouter

15a.L'écran va parraitre étrange (comme si vous ajouter un filtre négatif a une photo) Tout est correct

15b.Le bureau va apparaitre et le téléphone va ce configurer seul ,Attendez jusqu'a ce que vous atteigniez de nouveau le bureau.

16.Éteindre le téléphone

8.Appuyer sur la touche ''C'' est tennez la enfoncer et connecter votre téléphone avec son cable USB

9.Appuyer sur FS (PAS SUR FLASH TRES IMPORTANT)

10.Naviger en utilisant le clavier ; appuyer sur ifs - settings - display

11, Press "...'' qui est a droite sur l'écran ; naviger en utilisant le clavier.Aller dans le dossier ''Total/fisiere2/ et aller sur le fichier du nom : dispdriver0.dat et appuyer sur F5 et sur ''copy''

12.Appuyer sur ''....'' qui est a gauche de l'écran ; naviger en utilisant le clavier et aller sur camera

13.Appuyer sur ''...'' qui est a droite de l'écran ; naviger en utilisant le claver et aller sur "camdriver0.dat" faites F5 est ''copy'' apres aller sur "camdriver1.dat" faites F5 et ''copy''

14.Appuyer sur ''.....'' qui est a gauche de l'écran ; naviger en utilisant le clavier aller dans...->...->tpa->preset->system->lighteffect->systemeffects

15.Appuyer sur ''...'' qui est a droite de l'écran ; naviger en utilisant le clavier et aller sur "power_up_musicmode.ble" appuyez sur F5 est sur ''copy''

16.Fermer FAR

17.Enlever la batterie du téléphone pour 5sec et remettez la
