Firmware Ps4 1.62

Sony présente une nouvelle mise à jour pour sa console Ps4. Estampillé 1.62, cet update est à présent disponible. Pour mettre à jour, un minimum de 320 Mo est requis dans le disque-dur de la Ps4 ou sur un périphérique amovible.

Nouveautés/corrections :

- Amélioration de la stabilité du système Ps4 lors de l'utilisation de certaines fonctions

il serait grand temps que sony bouge son cul pour nous sortir un firmware ajoutant les fonctions promise plutot que de faire dans la correction de bug mineur ou la compatibilité avec les jeux qui sortent, cette maj est probablement la pour infamous

Pre-loading content is coming to the PS4 in April – Already possible with PS Vita?

Le pré chargement des titres possible en avril, plutôt que de devoir tout télécharger, on pourra commencer à jouer pendant la fin du download.

Preloading content is already a known thing. Steam does it, and a few other online stores do it too, but can the PSN offer this? The answer is yes.

Very soon it will be possible to pre-load content via the Playstation 4, so you are able to play the game as soon as possible, instead of downloading the 20GB of game data the day it is officially available and therefore wasting a few hours that you could be playing your new title!


The developers from Sucker Punch, known for titles like inFamous Second Son and others, now confirmed that preloading will come to the PS4 this April.

If this will be added via a PSN Store maintenance or via a new PS4 firmware update, which was already confirmed to be released soon, is currently not known, but there is proof that said preloading is already possible with the Playstation Vita.

If we take a closer look at this picture (which is unfortunally in german, I am sorry for this) we can see that it says that it says that the estimated date of availability is the 18th march 2014, while the estimated date for an automatic download of said content is the 20th march 2014. But how did someone trigger this pop-up?

Well, a good friend of mine, KanadeEngel, got a promotional version of Final Fantasy X-2 HD remaster as a PSN code and showed me these screenshots.



He said that this banner appeared and was a bit surprised that he had to wait for playing the game. To his surprise, the PS Vita began to download content even though it said that he would have to wait until the content becomes available.

New big upcoming PS4 Update announced!

News venant du Playstation Blog, annonçant un big update avec des fonctions comme : un éditeur vidéo, l'exportation et la sauvegarde de ses médias sur périphérique USB, de pouvoir désactiver la protection HDCP pour capturer du gameplay via HDMI et d'autre fonctions encore inconnu.

While we are still waiting for a new PS Vita firmware, the PS4 is getting firmware updates more regularly.

Despite the fact that it just got a new firmware, Sony has announced yet another, yet bigger, firmware for the Playstation 4, which adds some new cool features to it, which implies that the next firmware update will be something bigger than just a potentional 1.63.

If we take a closer look at the article from the Playstation Blog, we will see that they want to add a rich video editor, which should be easy to use for personalizing video clips, so they can become your very own masterpieces. Additionally to this new editor it will be possible to export and save your media files to an USB drive, which is currently not possible.

Another new feature of this new firmware will be that you will be able to turn off the HDCP protection for capturing gameplay via HDMI, something that Sony promised at the launch of the Playstation 4, but was not yet able to implement.

Sony also promises that there will be even more new functions in this new firmware update, but does not actually discloses which ones these will be.
